With the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game Kickstarter closing on April 18, 2026, many players are still trying to figure out which pledge tier makes the most sense for them. The campaign's tier structure is non-progressive, meaning each level is standalone — you don't automatically get the rewards from lower tiers by choosing a higher one. That makes understanding what's in each tier essential before committing.

The Beta Box — A Free Bonus Worth Understanding

Every backer at the Netrunner Starter Kit tier and above receives a free Beta Box alongside their other rewards. This isn't a small addition. The Beta Box currently contains a foil V: Corporate Exile card (packaged in its own Legend pack), an Epic Rare Adam card, a zoned rubber playmat, and all Legend cards from unlocked stretch goals — which, given the campaign has blown past $20 million, is a substantial collection of exclusive items.

The Beta Box contents have grown with every stretch goal milestone. Because the campaign hit $10 million, all Legend pack cards have been added. Because it cleared $6 million and $8 million, box toppers have been added to every Beta booster display — random promotional cards slipped inside each sealed booster box.

What Makes Kickstarter Booster Boxes Special

Every booster box purchased through the Kickstarter campaign is designated a Beta Booster Display — and that distinction matters for collectors. The boxes are sealed with a special security wrap, stamped with an exclusive Beta logo not found on retail copies, and include artwork variants unique to the Kickstarter edition. Each display contains 36 packs, with each pack containing seven commons, three uncommons, and two rare-or-better cards. The two decks available through the Kickstarter are The Heist, themed around Night City mercenaries, and Embracing Power, built around the Arasaka Corporation. Both are fully playable straight out of the box, each containing five mechanically unique cards exclusive to their respective deck — cards that won't be reprinted in the standard booster set. For those who want to crack packs and build custom decks, the Netrunner Starter Kit at $349 is the most popular tier by a significant margin — it includes express Q3 2026 shipping, two booster displays for 72 total packs, and the full Beta Box. The Street Cred Pack at $499 adds a third display and your choice of premium dice in character-themed colorways based on Jackie Wells, Judy Alvarez, or Adam Smasher.

For collectors with serious intentions, the Padre's Blessing at $999 includes the Hanako Arasaka: Daughter of the Emperor Legend metal card — a physical metal collectible unavailable elsewhere.
